Commercial/Business Entries – Note: Any entry with a company name or advertising will be considered a commercial entry. The $50.00 will include ONE vehicle and ONE trailer. Please add an additional $50.00 for each additional vehicle.  Make checks payable to:

Donations will be used to support charitable activities in the Millard community & surrounding areas.

Political Organizations/Politicians  - $100.00 entry fee per politician/political organization.

 

No fee for non-commercial, non-political, non-profit, school, community, or church entries.

 

Note: Any such entry with advertizing for business/commercial/politician will need to pay the fees listed above.

 

Entries subject to the approval by the board of directors of Millard Days, Inc.

 

Parade Information

 

Parade Line Up Place & Time:  Someone from parade committee will contact you about 2 weeks before the parade with your assigned entry number. Stakes with your entry number will be on the side of the street on the morning of the parade - park at your spot between 10:00am and 11:00am on Saturday, August 28th.  Line-up for the parade will be along old "L" Street from the corner of Oaks Lane & Anne Street to Millard Avenue.

 

Parade Route: Starting at old "L" Street and Millard Avenue, proceeding down Millard Avenue to 136th Street, turning left and ending on 136 Street at the VFW near "Q" Street.

 

Awards/Prizes: Parade category winners will be mailed a check after Millard Days for their entries.

RULES:

1) You will be expected to obey all traffic laws and all instructions from the parade staff.

2) Participants shall secure and maintain adequate liability and property insurance.

3) In order to complete the parade in the time allotted by the city, we must initiate a 15-second rule in front of the judges' viewing stand.

4) Think safety - Cheerleading groups will not be allowed to do any tossing of cheerleaders into the air. This will not be permitted and any such attempts by a cheerleading group will be cause for removal from the parade.

5) NO THROWING anything from vehicles to the crowd. Any flyers, candy, etc. must be handed out (not thrown) by walkers along the sides of the parade route. This is for the safety of all involved.
